Confluence Masterclass

Bring bias, session flow, location, trigger and risk into one decision. Combine evidence without counting the same idea twice.

Lesson 6

Run the confluence practice lab

Apply the complete framework to both a candidate and a deliberate pass.

Study time: about 15m

Lesson

Choose a historical session and freeze it before a possible decision. Fill in bias, session flow, location, trigger and risk. Save a screenshot with the date, timezone, instrument and timeframe. The record should let someone else reconstruct what you knew at the moment.

For every candidate, write the strongest opposing fact and the rule that would make you pass. A complete plan is not a collection of bullish statements. It is a conditional decision with a defined cost if wrong.

Advance one bar at a time, logging actual rule outcomes. Include a second example where you deliberately pass. Review process compliance first, then result and execution assumptions. Keep all examples in the sample; do not turn one successful screenshot into a claim that the framework is proven.

Worked example

Candidate A: rising context, directional session, pullback into a premarked zone, completed reclaim, and a size that fits the budget. It can qualify under those practice rules. Candidate B has the same location but tangled structure, repeated VWAP crossings and a scheduled event inside the exclusion window. More indicators at the zone do not remove B’s disqualifiers.

Try it in replay

Produce two five-question records, one candidate and one pass. For the candidate include entry, invalidation, target, cost assumptions, allowed size and a cancellation rule. Then review whether later information changed your memory of the original decision.

Check your reasoning

A successful lab preserves the original reasoning and identifies uncertainty. It does not require a profitable trade. Continue with Opening Range Playbook for a session-specific application.
